This large representationalpainting is a commission piece which is now happily in the Birmingham home of a wonderful couple. It includes a favorite spot of theirs, the BUS STOP CAFE, in Greenwich Village. Each commission is unique and challenging. That's why I welcome them. As I worked, I could imagine walking on the sidewalks there or eating outside at the cafe. That personal intimacy in a public space like the one in this streetscape is what I was hoping to create.
