Small Works
Small paintings are intimate, immediate, and can be magnetic. When I’m painting one, which is often as I do little Morning Meditations regularly, I feel free to explore and almost never end up with anything I thought I might paint. As I’m working, the smallest painting is introducing a new and endless world, just as a larger piece would. While these small works are perfect on a desk or table—or maybe hung in just the right space on a wall—the images they offer can be as provocative as a snippet of beautiful music overheard from a passing car, an open door you are passing by, or sweet sounds carried to you by the wind.
